lesson 8 part 2 quiz

Sternberg is mentioned in multiple questions. I can't find the info on this in the book, and it was not referenced in the videos before the quiz. Could elaborate on what we need to know about him or direct me to a location in the book/videos to learn more about him? Thank you.

"true acidity trends are a combination of inductive effects above AND the amine's ability to H bond in aqueous solutions: 2°< 1°< 3°< NH3" 1. Could you elaborate on how H-bonds increases acidity? 2. Could you elaborate on the ordering of increasing acidity from 2°< 1°< 3°< NH3? I would have thought ...

could you add the blueprint slides to the nextstep resource tab?

We use blueprint slides during next step office hours, but we don't have a copy of these slides under the resources tab. Could we get a copy of these slides added to the resource tab if possible? It becomes difficult to follow sometimes when you can't refer back to figures or the text when trying to...

If demography is defined in the content foundations as "the study of certain statistical parameters that illustrate how human populations change over time" I'd think one could include absolute mobility as a demographic measure because intragenerational mobility would fit the description of a way hum...

I picked A (reconstructive bias) as least likely to have affected the review of professionalism over answer choice C (attrition bias). Because "students are concerned that reporting incidents may result in retaliation, negative evaluations of performance, or damage to their career", I thought that t...

fl1 bb - q20

B is said to be incorrect because "researchers are studying the effect of NK cell co-culture on eosinophils, so they would not want to introduce a factor that alters this relationship". If the presence of IL-5 is a confounding variable for answer choice B why should it not also then be a confounding...

The correct answer was A. I picked B, which was wrong. I thought the question was asking can you identify why someone wouldn't you want to present this data. So I thought it would either be an experimental design issue or an issue with the actual findings. A - I didn't think you needed a control bec...

how much work is done on the moon by earth? The answer says the angle between force and velocity vector is 90 degrees, and cos(90)=0. "So the work done on any object moving in a circle by centripetal force is always zero". I don't follow this logic, the equation for work is W=Fdcos(theta), not W=Fvc...
