NS FL3 C/P

Hello! I have two questions from NS FL3 C/P section. Question 18 I chose A because I learned to consider resonance when determining hybridization states, and if resonance is possible, to use the lowest hybridization state. I saw that the lone pair on the imine nitrogen could resonate up into a doubl...

AAMC Sample Test - Chem/Phys Section

Hello! I have a few questions from the Sample Test C/P section, which I figured I'd group together. Sorry for the several questions but hopefully they are not too hard to answer! Thank you! Question 11 I chose D, strong acid, because of the statement that the compound *completely dissolved* in water...

Question about NSTP FL Exams

Hello! I have already taken NS FL 1 & 2. Before I start taking AAMC FLs, I'm hoping to take one or two more NS FL tests, either as a FL in one sitting or more likely by breaking them up into one section per day. But I don't know which tests to choose from NS 3-10! Which one or two tests from among N...

Re: Trying to Stay on Schedule

If you reset the study plan, do you lose all of your progress, or does it just reschedule all of the material that's not yet marked as completed?

Re: Bio QPack Vol 1 Passage 4

Thanks, Mathias! Think it was just the intimidation factor. I think a learning for me is to be more attuned to novel concepts and appreciate the fact that some passages present new ideas within them that nevertheless leverage MCAT testable content.

Biochem Chapter 8 Test

Hello! I did pretty poorly on the passage-based questions in the Biochemistry end of chapter 8 test. I think I have a pretty strong understanding of the fundamentals of the CAC and ETC, but I think I had a hard time following the experiment in the passage and interpreting the implications of certain...

Psych Qbank 2

Hello! Question 5 asks "An individual is in the process of learning a skill that is in his “zone of proximal development.” According to Vygotsky, to best continue mastering the skill, the person needs..." I cannot find in the Psych & Soc book anything about zone of proximal development or Vygotsky. ...

Bio QPack Vol 1 Passage 4

Hello! This passage involves a detailed process of reproduction involving a cell line that contains both a macronucleus and a micronucleus. I've never encountered the idea of a macronucleus and a micronucleus. Are these concepts ones we should have encountered somewhere in studying, or would I have ...

Re: CARS QPack Vol 1

Thanks, Mathias! Reassuring to hear that the first half of QPack 1 is known to be difficult. I finished it and look forward to working through the rest of QPack 1 and QP2.
