Letter of Recommendation

Hello everyone!

I am trying to compile a sort of list of documents that will help my recommenders write a strong LOR. The things I have so far are: 1) My CV/Resume 2) my personal statement/my story
3) Official AAMC guidelines for writing a LOR. The problem is I don't think the AAMC Guide is all that helpful. IS there a better guide?

Thanks!

Hi there!

For a professional grade service in walking you through the application process, we do have an admissions service here.

As a general idea (and non-professional advice), I feel like this guide walks you through most steps and potential pitfalls:

Content of the letter itself needs to mostly speak to how the letter writer interacted with you and how they experienced your strengths, in addition to fulfilling the general formatting requirements.

Thank you so much, Mathias! The SDN post is actually perfect. I think it will do just fine. I appreciate the response!
